Intensive EMDR

While it can be intimidating to think about a whole day sitting with me and your Sh*t, the outcomes of Intensive EMDR therapy are pretty amazing. I like to do this work because I see drastic, lasting changes for people, and nothing motivates me more than stuff working. Many people want to try out EMDR a few times before committing, which makes sense and is part of the process.

What to Expect?

  • A 4-8 hour session. Because EMDR is different than talk therapy we are able to work through difficult symptoms in these large chunks of time.

  • We will take breaks as needed and will take 30 minutes for lunch ( for 6-8 hour sessions)

  • That is a lot of time with me. I prefer to have a few sessions in order to feel comfortable with my style of therapy before jumping in.

  • You will also receive a free follow up session to make sure “it sticks”

  • Because there is less transition, the price has been reduced to 125$/hr

  • Being a good fit for Intensive EMDR does not mean your trauma is bigger or smaller it only means you are willing to do it and we both agree it would be benefical.

Benefits for you

  • One commute: You only have to commute one time instead of weekly

  • Get results faster: Who doesn’t want to get better faster?

  • Scheduling: Busy schedules can make once a week therapy stressful to schedule in

  • Profound insight and processing: Many people fear that this big chunk will be too much, however many of my clients say that it is more profound and overall, less exhausting than the traditional one-hour sessions.

  • No more weekly sessions: Weekly sessions can be exhausting. We stir up the hard stuff in your life and you have to transition back to living life quickly. With an intensive the transition is one day and the results last the same if not better than the weekly hourly sessions.

What I Like

  • I can see people work through big events that negatively impact their lives so that they can go back to living.

  • People often see even more profound changes then a traditional 1 hour session.

  • Sometimes people get stuck in processing using EMDR sessions and intensives can get past the stuck

  • We do not have to use as much time for settling in or winding down, which means we get more time for the important work
