Wellbeing resilence in Veterinary Medicine

Veterinary Well-Being

Healthcare fields can facilitate a specialized concern for mental health. Veterinary medicine adds some unique layers to the high-stress and often underpaid nature of helping professionals. Vicarious Trauma, Compassion Fatigue, contiguous stress on the system, and high workloads contribute to anxiety, depression, and burnout.

It is Great to talk about “Self-Care” and stress in the field, but it is much more to treat it and get past it. Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, the polyvagal theory, and education, you can reduce the impact of stress on your nervous system.

This means you can enjoy your job , connect to yourself, your loved ones and nature and have fun and being yourself ( whatever that means).

Services for Veterinarians

  • Practice Consultation

Are you building a practice or have a practice where everyone feels worn out and run down? I provide individualized consultation for growing well-being. I concentrate on more than just self-care and programs and discuss resiliency tactics based on the nervous system. This consultation is individualized for your needs, budget, and practice.

  • Resiliency groups

I provide resiliency groups for veterinarians. The group consists of 3-8 individuals and provides individual insight, evidence-based skills, and community collaboration to improve resilience and healing within the field.

  • Membership site

I am currently working on a membership site that will provide Q and A sessions monthly, monthly wellbeing consultations, and regular training for ongoing resilience.
